This is the best vet i have ever been too, the staff is incredibly kind and caring, even though i am having a stressful time knowing that there jobs is stressful and they can find the time to be remorseful for others is something i appreciate so much. These people care, they want what’s best for your fur baby. Come to this place if you want affordability and understanding like it was their own.

Recently rescued a cat that got hit by a car, The folk here did an amazing job at helping “scoop” (the newest addition ) Out. From the moment I brought him in , the updates from calling all the way to when I came to take scoop home, they went above and beyond. Original Review: 3 Months Ago UPDATE AFTER ORIGINAL REVIEW: Since leaving my original review, I wanted to provide an update on our cat Pip’s condition and the steps we ultimately took ourselves to manage his chronic gastrointestinal issues. When we first brought Pip in, he had been experiencing chronic vomiting for over six months, often vomiting 2–3 times per day, including frequent episodes containing blood. Since then, we removed kibble entirely and began implementing dietary and feeding schedule changes based on careful observation and symptom tracking. To be fair, one of the original recommendations from the veterinarian was to trial a single protein diet. However, the recommendation provided was prescription hydrolyzed food that we were not comfortable feeding due to the ingredient quality. Instead, we pursued the same therapeutic concept using cleaner whole food ingredients. We initially transitioned Pip onto Dave’s Duck Pâté alongside daily Nutramax Proviable prebiotic and probiotic support. One of the biggest changes we made was restructuring how and when he eats. After closely tracking his symptoms, we realized prolonged fasting periods overnight appeared to significantly worsen his stomach irritation and bile vomiting. To address this, we purchased a refrigerated wet food automatic feeder with five rotating meal compartments so he could eat smaller meals consistently throughout the full 24 hour cycle, including three feedings during the day and two overnight feedings while we sleep. That change alone made a substantial difference in reducing overnight stomach irritation. Once the bleeding stopped and his stomach stabilized, we slowly expanded into additional proteins and even some multi protein formulas without seeing any worsening of symptoms. That helped us realize the issue did not appear to be solely tied to protein intolerance, but more so acid buildup, prolonged fasting irritation, and overall stomach sensitivity. We also trialed a raw diet, but because maintaining consistent meal timing became such a major factor in controlling his symptoms, we ultimately transitioned him back to canned food paired with Nulo freeze dried raw rotations using duck and chicken. We also began giving slippery elm with his bedtime feeding because it acts as a soothing mucosal support during the longest fasting window overnight. In addition, we noticed that hair accumulation in his stomach appeared to be contributing to irritation and triggering vomiting episodes. To help move hair through the digestive tract more efficiently instead of allowing it to sit in the stomach and trigger irritation, we introduced a very small amount of psyllium husk fiber support. Since implementing that change, Pip has not had a single hairball episode. Over time, several major improvements became clear: • the blood in his vomit completely stopped • vomiting frequency reduced from multiple times daily to roughly once per week • the volume of vomit reduced dramatically • his appetite normalized • his weight remained stable • his coat, energy, and overall appearance improved noticeably • he now immediately returns to eating after occasional small bile episodes instead of becoming lethargic and refusing food afterward At this point, Pip is maintaining weight well, acts like a healthy cat, eats enthusiastically, and has shown substantial improvement compared to where he started. While he is still a sensitive stomach cat and may never be a cat that “never vomits,” his condition is dramatically more manageable and no longer resembles the severe chronic bleeding episodes we originally sought help for. I am sharing this update because I believe other pet owners deserve to know that there are often meaningful nutritional, feeding schedule, and gastrointestinal support approaches that can be explored beyond immediately defaulting to prescription diets or long term medications. Thoughtful observation, consistency, and individualized care made a significant difference for Pip.

We couldn't be happier with Mineral Wells Vet Clinic. We tried other vets only to be told our dog was too old for surgery. They performed the needed surgery on our Ollie dog with great success!!! Ollie has a new lease on life and feels great! We could never thank them enough. They are all wonderful people who truly care about animals. The price was more than reasonable as well...
