After finding an injured stray kitten, I took her to this vet for a walk in service because it was the only one available in the area before noon, and had good reviews. The cat was looked at for less than 5 minutes, had its leg pulled on until it yelped. Whereupon I was told it was probably not broken. The kitten was then given two shots - one for pain and an antibiotic. I was then told it would probably be expensive to treat the cat, told to give the cat an antibiotic for 2 weeks, then sent on my way. For the record the cat could not walk on one leg, had visible puncture wounds, maggots, and smelled infected. Unsatisfied and with no other vets open til 12, and not wanting to dish out another $100 for a mediocre assessment from someone unknown, I proceeded to drive her 2hrs to a vet my cousin interned for in Morgantown who actually evaluated the poor thing, determined the poor kitty’s infection / infestation was beyond saving, then euthanized her. They were able to see her here, but the care needed was beyond the scope and rather than admitting that or instructing me to go elsewhere she was provided subpar treatment and sent on our way. Thankfully I took her elsewhere where she was actually treated and didn’t have to suffer.
